E. Rigaudière & A. D'Amario

Anthony d’Amario and Édouard Rigaudière were destined to cross paths. United by a shared passion for American cinema of the 1970s through the 1990s, as well as the great French and Italian masters—including Henri Verneuil, Claude Autant-Lara, Marcel Carné, Dino Risi, and Ettore Scola—they can dissect every sequence of a Brian De Palma, Sergio Leone, or Stanley Kubrick film, while equally admiring the contemplative cinema of Terrence Malick and Wong Kar-Wai. For a time, both even considered pursuing careers as film directors.

Ultimately, however, music proved to be their true calling. Although they never met during their studies at IMEP (formerly the American School of Modern Music), they each honed their skills as multi-instrumentalists, with a particular focus on piano and guitar. Eager to unite their two greatest passions, they naturally gravitated toward film scoring, initially forging their own paths by composing for short films.

Deeply influenced by the works of Ennio Morricone, Thomas Newman, Ludwig Göransson, and even Radiohead, Anthony and Édouard are true film scorers, equally at home across a wide range of musical styles. Their work is driven by a constant pursuit of sophisticated, contemporary sound design, with their instincts as music producers playing a central role in their creative process. Yet their guiding principle remains unchanged: to find the theme, the unforgettable melody that defines each project. They also strive to incorporate distinctive sonic elements that echo the world of the film itself—for example, voices and breathing textures in Ils étaient dix by Pascal Laugier, with whom they first collaborated on Ghostland, or kitchen utensils as percussion for Louis Farge’s series Cuisine interne, available on 13ème Rue.

Now working exclusively as a composing duo, every project is conceived and written together, each composer continually inspiring the other while embracing every musical territory with curiosity and creative freedom.

In 2022, they composed the scores for both seasons of the Disney+ series Les Amateurs, starring François Damiens and Vincent Dedienne. They began 2023 by composing the score for the documentary Take a Chance, directed by Maria Thulin for Prime Video. After completing the score for Louis Farge’s series Follow, available on Universal+ and 13ème Rue, they went on to compose the original score for Xavier GensSous la Seine (co-composed with Alex Cortès), which became a global hit on Netflix following its 2024 release. They began 2025 by winning the Best Original Score award at the Séries Mania Festival for the Prime Video series Intraçable (Log Out), now available.
