Carla Pallone is a composer, violin player and plays many instruments. After composing a Middle Age oriental soundtrack for Manolis Marvin’ short-film Midnight Skin, she collaborated with Matthieu Cruciani and the CDN de Colmar for staging Racine’s play Phèdre. Carla has a very unique way of writing atmospheres, setting up fiction lines, illustrating landscapes through her music. She particularly enjoys working with strings instruments, creating delicate sounds evolving with organic and analogical textures. She has got a precise taste for melodies, neoclassicism and minimalism… Violin is a king in her compositions, surrounded by synths layers, whether it feels like deep darkness or flying high melodies. Her violin is blowing in the soundtrack of Stéphane Demoustiers’ La Fille Au Bracelet.

In Matthieu Cruciani’s theater play La Nuit Avant Les Forêts, Carla created a vast and dark space, crossed by ghostly sonorities surrounding the text. Then, in Lisa Diaz’s Libre Garance!, Carla’s fascinating music surrounds the movie in a very free way. There is a great sensitivity in Carla’s sound path, between pure classical music and experimental ones, improvised or contemplative ones, she also make music with the trio VACΛRME with her friends Christelle Lassort and Gaspard Claus. She also exactly knows how to perform violin in more traditional pop songs.
