David Imbault
David Imbault started playing the piano at the age of five, the guitar at thirteen, and computer programming at eighteen. He explored music entirely intuitively. Unable to read music, he began studying jazz at the Pro Musica training centre in Avignon under Dominique Lièvres after finishing school.
However, he was quickly drawn back by his natural curiosity and desire to delve deeper, so he decided to stop formal study in order to gain a better understanding, dedicating his life to travel and encounters. After doing various odd jobs and giving profound thought to his artistic future, he eventually joined Parisian film crews as a technician, determined above all to share his music with industry professionals. A few months later, he was spotted by the director, Lorenzo Gabriele, on the set of Fête de Famille, and was commissioned to compose the music for his TV film in 2005. This marked the beginning of a long line of artistic collaborations.
