A multi-faceted artist, Fredrika Stahl continues to build a body of work that is enduring, profound, and delicately crafted. She was just eighteen when she wrote her debut album, released in March 2006, which immediately established her as one of the most promising emerging voices in jazz. Since making her first move toward pop in 2010, Fredrika has carved out an increasingly personal artistic path. On NATTEN, her fifth album, released in spring 2021 and co-produced with Clément Ducol, she fully embraces the breadth of her talent, revealing a voice stripped of artifice and rich in emotional depth. Fredrika draws listeners into mysterious, epic soundscapes, illuminated at times by bursts of light whose lyrical flights and refined elegance evoke artists such as Kate Bush and Agnès Obel. Constantly reinventing herself, she has also found film scoring to be a particularly inspiring creative territory.

In 2015, she composed the score for the documentary Tomorrow (Demain), directed by Cyril Dion and Mélanie Laurent, earning the prestigious CSDEM Grand Prize. Her memorable blend of haunting folk ballads and pop compositions infused with orchestral and electronic textures became one of the film's defining elements and contributed significantly to its success.

For Piccolo Corpo, selected for competition at Critics' Week in 2021, her close collaboration with director Laura Samani led her into new musical territory. Fredrika wrote music for an amateur choir from Northern Italy, while the film's lead actress, Celeste Cescutti, performed the deeply moving closing lullaby, co-written by Fredrika and Laura Samani.

Since then, Fredrika has continued to work on a wide range of film projects alongside the release of her EP La maison and the preparation of a new album. Among these are the acclaimed animated short Grey Sun (Soleil gris), which earned her the Best Original Score Award at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and, most recently, the original score for Cypriot director Tonia Mishiali's debut feature The Lion At My Back, which premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF).
